Setting Gemstones into Metal Clay and Making a Wearable Studio Sampler, by Lorrene Baum-Davis.
This is one of those books that needed to exist. Stone setting is a confusing and complicated matter in metal clay. You can do this, but only with this clay. You can do this, but you need to have metalsmithing skills to do so.
I have a whole page in my classroom handout just listing the options.
This small, spiral bound book is definitely worth the price. It’s very professionally laid out, easy to read, and extremely clear.
It’s wonderful to have basically all the choices laid out before you in one book. I will definitely be taking this book to all my classes.
She covers it all, what more can I say? A must have for teachers, beginners and experienced folks alike.
You can buy Lorrene’s book at her website. I suggest you order via check or credit card using snail mail.
