Build Your Own Jeweler’s Bench

DIY Bench by Pat Pruit

Jeweler Pat Pruitt has posted detailed instructions, with pictures and drawings on how to make this bench, in steel and wood. Check it out here. While you’re there, check out his awesome jeweler at the main site here.

Update: 1/22/2014 Here’s another design, one that doesn’t involve welding, the FrankenBench.

What do I use? My first bench ever was a built in in my parent’s basement. Next, I had a small table with legs from Target — they used to sell this “make your own table” thing, you could pick the legs, the table top, mix and match. And the top was some scrap wood from… could have been IKEA. I finally upgraded to a real jeweler’s bench and love, love, love it. Here’s a picture of it:

The link for the instructions to the DIY jewelers bench seems to be broken. Could you provide the link? It looks like an amazing bench!
