I happened upon this super cool little spoon mold, for making your own molded chocolate spoon — you were just planning to whip up some chocolate spoons, right?
A while ago, we were talking about making spoons over on Metal Clay Gallery, and I posted a picture of the tiny spoon I made, so I thought this mold would be of interest.
Check it out here.
please let me know if u make any more molds like this, its interesting.
thnks.
Hi, this isn’t something I make, it’s something sold for pastry chefs to make chocolate spoons! I haven’t see other “shapes.” The mold parts are held together with magnets, it’s pretty cool!
Hey, do you know where I can buy these molds?
Thanks!
The link is right there in the post! It’s a pastry supply company.
What a great idea! Did you ‘pour’in the clay the same as they do with the chocolate? Did you mold in regular clay, close the mold & cut off the excess? Thanks!
I hadn’t bought one yet when I posted this. I have one now and I’ve tried it with BronzClay, and used the 2nd method that you describe. I haven’t gotten good results yet, though I still think it might work.
