While often tempted by the colorful glass and how much fun lampworkers seem to have, I have so far held off on picking up this addiction. Kimberly Adams’ book, The Complete Book of Glass Beadmaking is indeed complete. It has a particularly good section on safety, which is pretty important, given the size of the flame involved.
This book is useful for the beginner, but includes plenty of advanced projects, so it should last you a good while. The projects are beautiful and instructions clear enough that I believe I could make them by following the instructions (after lots of practice.)
