I read a lot of headlines about jewelry. I have a google alert on the words “jewelry making,” so every day I get an email with an news story or blog post containing those words.

There’s a lack of originality in those stories. You would be surprised how many stories are about a woman (it’s usually a woman) changing careers. The headlines read, “Local woman relaxes, discovers new career in jewelry.”

So this headline, “Her Crafty Hobby Is Saving Lives and Making Millions” really caught my attention. Here’s the story:

It’s useful to study the overused headlines and story lines, so that you know how to stand out when you’re ready for your interview.
