Thanks Tamra! Thanks Sadelle!

@Sadelle, no, I wouldn't call this a good intro-to-blogging book, more a already-heavy-into-social-media-and-want-to-understand-it-better book.

For intro to blogging books, I like books intended for teachers (I reviewed one here on the blog, somewhere) and librarians. Both types of books assume no knowledge, but also assume you're intelligent. So they're complete without talking down.

Ah, here's the review:

Elaine.. nice review..

I'm a bit curious.. is this a book you'd recommend to folks who have no current footing in social media? Is it written to the lay person? Or to folks pretty well embedded in social media and generally comfortable with online talk.

I'm still on the lookout of 'gentle' ways to introduce clients who have no familiarity whatsover with social media, what blogs are/do, etc. Something that doesn't feel so scary. Of course language is everything, and I try to explain the basics in plain speak, but sometimes they need a bit of extra reading that won't scare them.

And just so you know, whenever I have clients thinking of blogging, I point them to my star student..YOU! So Brava for continuing to have a great blog!

Methinks I'm going to have to pick this one up too--it sounds really interesting.

I'm totally with you about how my involvement and participation in social media has evolved. The only problem I see is just keeping up with it all. It really can be overwhelming sometimes, especially because so much of it is about "giving and taking," and reciprocity. --And then you have to go do the work you're trying to promote!

Thanks for the review!
