What to do in Chicago during MCWC

Coming to the Chicago area for the Metal Clay World Convention this July?
Here’s a post I wrote waaaaay back in 2007, with some ideas of what to see and do, on a jewelry theme:

What would you like to see while you’re here? I can write a new post on visiting Chicago, and I’d love to know what kinds of things you’re interested in. The offbeat? Unusual? Path less travelled? Where to eat? Please post a comment!
Thanks!

What I’d give to be able to go over to the states and see what you’re all doing with Art Clay Silver over there.
Ah, one can dream.
You know about the upcoming UK conference, right?
When in Chicago, you must go to Millenium Park! Also, you can go to the 95th floor of the John Hancock and dine and/or have cocktails at The Signature Room while overlooking all of Chicago. If you want to view the city from up above but skip the dining and/or drinks, you can go to the Sears Tower. There’s a fee, so search it on the web to find that info out. As I understand, they’ve added some new windows that jut out from the building – you’re suspended in total glass above the city (not for the squeamish!!!) For more info on places to go, places to eat, things to do, check out http://chicago.metromix.com Cheers!
