This question comes up a lot on Metal Clay Gallery, a yahoo group.

When you join Metal Clay Gallery, you should also sign up for Metal Clay Gallery 2, our overflow site for photos, and Metal Clay Market, a special place just for buying and selling.

So where else? Precious Metal Clay and Art Clay Silver are both expensive, so people are naturally hesitant to dive right in.

Another great place to learn more is MSchindel’s Squidoo Lens on Metal Clay.

And I’ve created two new Squidoo Lenses for beginners, one is Top Ten Tools for Metal Clay, which lists the top ten tools every metal clay artist should have, plus the top 5 books, the #1 camera, and more.

The next one is Precious Metal Clay, Getting Started and Beyond, in which I list the complete list of tools and supplies, guide you to more information on Squidoo and elsewhere, and share some basic tips. The point of this Lens is to be a guide and an introduction for those facing the overwhelming amount of information out there on metal clay.
