A cookbook recommendation on a jewelry blog? How can I pull that off? Lucky for me Heaven on Seven is a Cajun restaurant on Jeweler’s Row in Chicago. I used to go there when I worked downtown in Jeweler’s Row. And the chef/owner has published a cookbook!
If you like Cajun food, this book will make you very, very hungry. When in Chicago, visit the original Heaven on Seven, but go early and stand in line, or go to the larger location on Rush street.
Of course, the restaurant and cookbook have some out there fusion dishes; this is in large part not authentic Cajun food. For authentic, use the cookbooks by Enola Prudhomme.
