KathyLoRocks is this week’s Artist Website of the Week.
Kathy Lowenstern makes customized photo jewelry in sterling silver; customers send in their photos and also get to choose an initial or cool paper for the back of the pendant.
All the photo frames are cast from her original designs.
Kathy’s site is an excellent example of a jewelry artist chosing a niche and excelling in that niche. I’ve talked before about the challenge of differentiating yourself in the marketplace, and Kathy’s found a great way to do that.
And customization is another great service to offer. If I’m buying a gift it, I love that I can put together my own with my own picture, and pick the background picture or initial. I know that whoever I bought the gift for would just love it.
