Art Cars in Chicago

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Check out this art-car in progress by Kari Sommers here. She calls it the Volvo Cozy.

It’s part of the Manifest celebration at Columbia College Chicago, see the Chicago Reader coverage of it here.

The paper version of the Chicago Reader has a picture of the completed Volvo Cozy, including the crocheted license plate that says, “CRCZY,” I searched and searched but couldn’t find an image online. If you find one, please post a comment!

This car reminded me of Alan Bolle’s Spring Car, a BMW completely covered with industrial size springs. We used to see that one driving around Chicago; it made cool sounds, as a bonus.
