Here’s a recent photo from my photo series, “The View through the Windshield,” my daily creativity practice.
The idea is that I carry my little camera with me all the time (I’ve been slipping on this one lately, blame the smart phone) and take pictures as I go about my day. I often pull over and take the photos. This one was taken in a parking lot before I went on my way.
It’s been a wonderful creative practice that I’ve been doing since 2012 and it’s so helpful. I’ve discovered what kind of image attracts me, what colors I like. The benefits have been unexpected.
I highly recommend finding something that works for you that you can do every day, even if you can’t get into your studio or pull out your metal clay.
Do you have something you try to do every day? Do you carry a sketchbook with you at all times? Do you snap pictures for Instagram? I’d love to hear about what you do and how it helps you!
