Fold Forming by Charles now on amazon
Fold Forming by Charles Lewton-Brain is now available on amazon! If you’ve been meaning to order, it just got easier!
Who’s been playing with fold forming lately? Tamra Gentry has. You can see her terrific results at her blog or in her etsy shop.

Wow–thank you, Elaine!
The book is quite fabulous. I’ve not put it down since it arrived. And, I haven’t stopped playing around with the technique either. I’m actually trying to see how small I can go with certain folds…
I have his older fold forming book, does anyone have both and can compare the two?
Thanks,
Stevie B.
The 1985 book is shorter and has black and white drawings. The new one has 450! color photos. Go to http://www.brynmorgen.com/foldforming.html and click on “sample pages” to see sample pages, you can even enlarge them (they open as a pdf) and see them almost full size.

Steve:
I have both books. Elaine is dead-on–the new book just simply has way more good, up-close, color photos and examples.
There are a couple more equipment-involved techniques he covers/goes into greater depth on in the newer book (lathe, hydraulic press, etc.). But, if you’re doing ok with the older book, it’s not necessary to buy the newer book as most of the basics are pretty thoroughly covered there.
The new one really is a cool book though…
Tamra
Thanks Tamra & Elaine for the book info.
I’m doing fine with the old book (the video helps as well) but knowing me as I do, or think I do, I will most likely buy the new book at some later time when I am back doing formfolding again. Extra pictures and info is always a plus
